Simon McLachlan, a NIDA Graduate, has over a decade of experience in the industry across Theatre, Television, Film, Music Theatre, Voice Over, and as a Vocalist, making him a hugely malleable asset in the Voice Over business.
Simon not only has his natural Australian accent, but a flawless American accent. He has a wealth of accents up his sleeve, as well as characters, and possesses a vocal range from the most natural of reads of your guy next door, soft sell, narrative, and conversational, through to high energy fast paced dialogue, characters, kids and comedy.
Simon has voiced and presented for Proton Vehicles, Meriton Apartments, Luxcon Property Group, Accenture Technologies, alcohol awareness campaigns, and The National ANZAC Centre. He frequently appears in TVC Campaigns for brands such as Holden, Aerogard, KFC, McDonalds, Viva Holidays, 3M Adhesives, and many more, as well as presents live for corporate clients such as recent appearances for My Kitchen Rules. He has also voiced live characters like Jup Jup in the popular kids show, Hi-5.
Simon is highly recognized from roles in the original cast of Jersey Boys, The History Boys, Underbelly Razor, ABC’s Black Comedy, and Spielberg’s The Pacific, as well as appearing Australia wide as Channel 9’s Shuffle Dancing Builder for the return of Big Brother.Not only a highly trained and experienced Voice Artist, Simon’s extra edge is also as an experienced Singer and Musician, having studied under the Estill Voice Training System. He has an acute ear, is a natural for timing and beats, and has a passion and professionalism for bringing scripts in a studio to life.
