Jillian O’Dowd (NIDA BDA, LTCL)
New Zealand born Jillian O’Dowd is a NIDA graduate with 30 years professional experience on Stage and Screen, as a classically trained actor, voice artist, singer, drummer, director, teacher and producer in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Asia.
Jillian’s been recently heard on SLR productions ABC kids TV award winning Series Two Guess How Much I Love You and Christmas Special. Jilly’s voice features as The Narrator, The Big Brown Bear and The Bluebird. She is featured on the up and coming 2018 GHMILY Easter Special.
Currently recording at Trackdown Digital on Nate is Late animation due for release 2018 on Channel 9, Germany and France, she is Nate’s Mum, Violet, Melanie, Hydra the Warrior Mermaid and many more which showcases her Australian, UK and US accents.
Jillian’s corporate voice/acting experience began with being the face and voice of AGL in Sydney.
Jillian has performed numerous roles on stage for The STC, Belvoir St Theatre, has also appeared in Water Rats, All Saints, Home & Away and been a wedding celebrant on Cold Feet. She’s tred the boards with Hugh Jackman in The Boy from Oz and was one of the ten picked to sing live in the National Arena Tour, covering Rock Star Chrissy Amphlet’s role as Judy Garland. Jilly also covered Australia’s leading music theatre star Marina Prior in The Witches of Eastwick musical.
Jillian’s main passion is her voice work and her husband’s band, Baxter Stone and The Chocolate Dogs as their drummer/singer/manager.
