Jonny kind of stumbled into voice work through being a copywriter and having to record hundreds of guide tracks. Back in 2001 a client heard one of his guide tracks and decided that was the voice they wanted and thus a new career was born.
That’s why, while being able to deliver with authority and a rich timbre when required, Jonny’s natural voice is more of an everyman kind of voice.
Having worked as a copywriter and CD for the past 28 years, Jonny just kinda gets what creatives are looking for in a performance and knows how to take direction and give variations of delivery.
Jonny has been the voice for Microsoft, Band-Aid and BWS just to name a few.
When he’s not in a sound booth he enjoys playing cricket, watching footy, mucking around with his young kids and writing bad poetry.
